Kirsty specialises in analytical hypnotherapy with psychotherapy working with adults and children from practices in the South Wiltshire and North Dorset area. Kirsty is a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register in addition to having trained, qualified and experienced working with Eye-Movement Therapy, Hypnobirthing, Gold Counselling Analytical and Creative Transformation, Hypnotic Art Therapy, Psycho-Spiritual Therapy and Teacher Training and Supervisory Skills.
Having previously enjoyed a successful career, over many years, as a paediatric nurse and complementary therapist Kirsty’s passion has always been people’s emotional health and well-being. Kirsty says “I enjoyed lots of things about being a nurse, however as time went by I was left feeling increasingly aware of and frustrated by the limitations of modern medicine. I also felt uncomfortable working in a system that didn’t support a more holistic approach especially as regards people’s emotional health and wellbeing.”
So seeking a bridge between her nursing background and a more holistic approach, Kirsty eventually left nursing to explore complementary therapies and to integrate her knowledge with an understanding of people’s emotions and how the mind works.
Kirsty undertook an MA in Creative Writing as a Therapeutic Tool and studied various psychodynamic approaches and principles. She also trained as an Aromatherapist with Neal’s Yard Remedies. During this time Kirsty underwent an extensive personal analysis using analytical hypnotherapy. Kirsty says ‘This type of therapy was unlike any other approach I had tried as it integrated a psychodynamic approach with hypnosis. Analytical hypnotherapy was able to cut through the levels of intellect and resistance and reach the sub-conscious and root cause. I had finally found the therapeutic tools I had been looking for personally and professionally.’
Kirsty went on to train as an Analytical Hypnotherapist and has enjoyed a very successful career helping people with this pioneering approach. Kirsty feels it is a privilege to share her knowledge and experience teaching trainee practitioners and CPD to qualified hypnotherapists. Kirsty is passionate about empowering people and offers her clients and trainees a dynamic, compassionate, professional, pragmatic and heart felt approach.
